Implementation of Response to Intervention


· Who?   Students are identified for extra reading support based on BAS scores, DIBELS oral reading fluency checks and maze passages, NWEA MAP testing scores, curriculum based assessments and observations.




· How Long?      These students receive an additional 25 minutes of reading instruction in a small group setting. 




· Does this last all year?    This depends. Students may  visit the reading lab for one session or they may continue if they need additional support.  Similarly, if students master the skill before the unit is officially over they may exit out of the intervention.
