Information for Families
The school day for T.I.S. runs from 8:50 a.m. to 3:20 p.m. If your child arrives at school past 8:50 in the morning, he/she must be accompanied into the building by a parent/guardian and signed in in the front office. Please do not drop your child off before 8:30. If your child needs to be dismissed before 3:20, please send in a note addressed to your child’s teacher with your child’s full name and time of dismissal. You may come to the main office to sign out your child. Also, if your child is being picked up by someone other than his/her own parent, please send in a note stating who will be picking up your child.
For those children being picked up at the end of the day instead of taking the bus, sign-outs are upstairs in the lecture hall at 3:20. Parents should wait outside the building at the doors by the portable classrooms until a staff member lets them in. Typically, once the students are assembled in the lecture hall the doors are opened for the parents.
Ample parking for visitors, parents
and drop-offs is available in the parking lot outside the main doors of
the former Parker School. To access that parking lot, drive past T.I.S.
and take a right on to Tolland Recreation RD and follow the driveway up
to the parking lot.
